Hydrangea Leuchtfeuer
Hydrangea Leuchtfeuer is a beacon of colour in the summer garden. Its bright pink red flowers glow with intense colour. And they deepen in colour as the flowers age.
Leuchtfeuer is a traditional mop top style hydrangea. With very large, stunning, globe round flower heads. One of our best performers. It flowers profusely. And flowers last for months on plant, ageing to dark red, and then on to brassy, coppery and green tones. A truly fantastic Hydrangea.
A strong grower and performer, it can be maintained as a 1.2m bush if pruned regularly, or let it reach its full potential between 1.5-2m.
Our plants are available in 200mm pots.
We fertilise our dombeya with Flower Blend Rock Minerals to encourage masses of flowers while keeping its growth bushy, healthy and compact.
Soil or potting media will determine the colour of your flowers. Don't want luck to determine you hydrangea colour? Use Hyadrangea Blueing Agent or Hydrangea Pinking Agent to turn the flowers the colour you desire.
