The Story
Hydeangea President R Touchard is one of our most popular purple hydrangea. It produces wonderful large flamboyant rich purple flowers in a low pH soil around 5 to 5.5. Ā At a higher soil pH or in potting mixes it produces a lovely rich pink red coloured flower. It is a strong and prolific plant producing large numbers of flowers. And flowers very well even as a young plant.Ā
Soil or potting media will determine the colour of your flowers. Don't want luck to determine you hydrangea colour? Use Hyadrangea Blueing Agent or Hydrangea Pinking Agent to turn the flowers the colour you desire.Ā
OurĀ plants are in 200mm pots. Our current plants will have pink flowers due to the pH of our potting mix.Ā Ā
